The United Legal Network (ULN)

International legal support, without losing clarity or control

Expanding into Europe or dealing with cross-border matters brings a different level of complexity. Different laws, different systems, and different expectations can quickly slow things down if you are not working with the right people.

At Gordons Partnership, we support clients with European legal matters through our long-standing membership of The United Legal Network (ULN), a trusted association of independent law firms across Europe and beyond.

This means you get access to local expertise in multiple jurisdictions, while still working with a UK team that understands your business and keeps everything aligned.

What Is The ULN?

The United Legal Network was founded in April 2000 and brings together established law firms from across Europe and internationally.

Members meet regularly in different European cities, building strong working relationships and a shared understanding of how each firm operates. Most members know each other personally and all work in English, which removes one of the biggest barriers in cross-border legal work.

The network exists to do two things well, support collaboration between member firms, and give clients access to reliable legal advice across multiple countries.

What This Means For You

You do not need to search for lawyers in unfamiliar markets or manage multiple relationships on your own.

We act as your central point of contact, coordinating with trusted lawyers in the relevant jurisdiction while keeping your legal strategy clear and consistent.

You get:

  • Access to experienced local lawyers across Europe
  • Advice that reflects local law and practice
  • A single, joined-up approach managed from the UK
  • Clear communication throughout, in plain English

Where We Can Support You

Through ULN, we can assist clients with legal matters across a wide range of countries, including:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

Whether you are entering a new market, managing overseas contracts, resolving a dispute, or dealing with regulatory issues, we can connect you with the right legal support quickly.

Our Approach

Cross-border work only works when it is coordinated properly.

We stay close to the detail, manage communication between firms, and make sure advice from different jurisdictions fits together. You are not left trying to interpret conflicting views or manage multiple advisers.

You deal with one team that understands your objectives and keeps everything moving in the right direction.

Why Clients Choose Gordons Partnership

  • Clarity, one point of contact for multi-country legal matters
  • Consistency, advice that is aligned across jurisdictions
  • Trusted network, established relationships with proven firms
